5K

I ran a 5K with my mom.  It was really cold.  It was on a dirt trail with lots of hills.  I was the only kid there.  We had to do two laps.  On the 2nd lap I stopped waiting for my mom and ran way ahead of her.  I ran the whole 2nd lap!  I did it in under 30 minutes.  I got a cool Tshirt and a $10 Kiwi loco gift card.  It was a lot of fun!  I plan to run more races.

(Note from her mother:   she was a hit!!!  I almost let her back out when we got there and saw that all the participants were college age or older, but since we had paid, we decided to just go for it.  EVERYONE that she passed cheered her on. I crossed the finish line much later than she did, but I could hear everyone cheering her on when she crossed (it was a cross country course where you could almost see the entire course...thus the two laps).  I'm so proud of her and I'm pretty sure she's caught the running bug!)
